About the Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry started in the year of 2006-2007 with 20 B.Sc. Chemistry students and P.G course started with 14 M.Sc., Chemistry students in the year of 2014-2015, under the regular stream. A team of 10 well-qualified and experienced faculty members including 6 Doctorate Staffs have dedicated themselves to impart quality education to the students to meet the challenges of the fast growing field. Experts are invited from various universities and colleges to enrich their knowledge in the subject. The department offers B.Sc. Chemistry and M.Sc., Chemistry. It teaches general chemistry to physics and biochemistry, at under graduate level. The department has Lab facility with well-equipped and adequate instruments for the separation, identification of various reactants, products of Organic and Inorganic compounds and to study their pharmaceutical effects.
Department Activities
Our department has involved in various research activities with the help of Doctorate Members, in current scenario and publishing research article in reputed journals. Every year our department celebrates Antoine Laurent de-Lavoisier birthday (Father of Chemistry). Our department celebrates National Science Day and enhance the students to aware global warming. Regularly, Department Conducts International Conference for the welfare of students’ community. Experts are invited from various universities and colleges to enrich their knowledge in the subject.
Features of Chemistry
Chemistry plays an important and useful role towards the development and growth of a number of industries. This includes industries like glass, cement, paper, textile, leather, dye etc. We also see huge applications of chemistry in industries like paints, pigments, petroleum, sugar, plastics, Pharmaceuticals. Even our body is made of chemicals. Chemical reactions occur when you breathe, eat, or just sit there reading. All matter is made of chemicals, so the importance of chemistry is that, the study of everything.
