Department Establishment
The Department of Computer Science (B.Sc.,) was established in the year 1997 and M.Sc., (Computer Science) was introduced in the year 2000. The another mile stone of the department was that the M.Sc., Information Technology programme was introduced in the year 2001. The Department is encircled with hefty equipped computer labs with 100 nodes connected to Internet rapidity of 20Mbps. The academic contribution of the 10 faculty members have revealed their contentment in publishing papers in incongruous National and International Conferences and Journals.

Department Activities
The demands of the IT sector are met by conducting intercollegiate meets, guest lectures, seminars, etc. The distinctive features of the department lies in Conducting Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Symposia, FDP’s, etc, as said below;
- Orientation program to the second and final year students
- Quiz competition for final year students on academic in respective Technology
- Fresher’s day for I UG & I PG
- Seminars for final year students on academic projects in respective Technology
- Celebrating a computer literacy day on every year of 9th December which was aimed to encourage the enhancement of technical skills and create awareness among the students.
- State Level, National Level and International Level Seminars and Work Shops
